At our June 3 HOA meeting, several attendees complained about loose dogs in the subdivision.
So here’s a reminder: The county’s dog-control ordinance requires dogs to be licensed and kept on the owner’s property, in a vehicle, or on a leash or under voice control at all times.
The ordinance allows the county to impound dogs that threaten or injure people, livestock or other dogs; bark excessively; or are abandoned. Owners can be required to pay an impoundment fee and fines for violations. Fines are higher for vicious dogs.
